Antibodies for Transmembrane Proteins |
|
Transmembrane proteins are integral membrane proteins that span the entirety of the cell membrane. They often function as gateways to permit the transport of specific substances across the membrane. Antibodies targeting these proteins have been approved for a wide array of diseases, including cancers, immune-related diseases, infectious diseases, and hematological diseases. Over half of these antibodies target membrane proteins, primarily proteins with large extracellular domains and simple transmembrane domains such as tyrosine kinase receptor proteins. |
